This Advertisement for Andrew Dougherty was made in 1885 by the Donaldson Brothers in New York. It is specifically advertising the Indicators Brand, which began in 1884. There is a Playing Card variant which advertises other brands by Andrew Dougherty, and was produced at the same time. I could not find the specific Ace featured in the Ad, but it is definitely from the Indicators brand.
This Ad was framed and sold in an Annex auction on March 2nd, 2023, for $219: Annex Auction
The Donaldson Brothers was a lithography and printing company that existed from 1872 to 1891, before being consolidated with the American Lithographic Company. They produced many prints, often featuring beautiful women in fancy dresses holding the product. They were also famous for printing novelty fans, which you can see in this Ad. I could not find a fan that matches the one in the Ad, but it was probably just created for this Ad and never actually printed.
